** An apology like non other **
This month, everything about you has changed. Your eating, sleeping, and social habits have been flipped upside down. All for what? For Him. You want Him to be happy with you, to love you.
Considering all what you're doing this month, you have every right to ask:
“Does He love me back?”
The answer to this question agitated you, so you flicked through the pages of the Qur’an, searching for an answer, and stumbled on the verse:
“Allah loves the people of Taqwa/God consciousness.”
(Al-Qur’an, 3:76)
You thought to yourself: “I'm hardly that person”, so you kept searching.
You came across another verse:
“Allah loves Al-Muhsinoon/those of excellence.”
(Al-Qur’an, 2:195)
But you thought to yourself: “That's a major work in progress.” You kept searching.
You came across:
“Allah loves Al-Mutawakkileen/those who rely upon Him.” (Al-Qur’an, 3:159)
Again, you sighed and said: “My reliance upon Him is lacking. I don't think it's me.”
At this point, you were on the verge of giving up, when you finally came across the answer that you've been looking for:
“Allah loves those who keep turning to Him in repentance.”
(Al-Qur’an, 2:222)
“Yes!” you said, “That's me, and I can do this!”
Make your slogan this Ramadan, “Astaghfirullah” / “I repent to Allah”.
Say it from your heart, allow it to reflect practically, and let Allah know that you're now a different person.
“Whoever witnesses Ramadan but does not have his sins erased, then may Allah distance him.”
(Prophet Mohammad PBUH)
