How brilliant and masterful that Allah should place the honour of the rich in the sustenance of the poor, since it requires the rich to become acquainted with and even attach themselves to those who are going through hardship and trial, instead of isolating themselves in their palaces or suburbs.

Hence, reminding the poor of your charity to them is against you and not for you, because the poor have a Sustainer besides/better than you, but you cannot purify your wealth and break your stinginess except by them. You need them, not the other way around.
