Quranic Reflections – Juz 9
It’s always wiser to give people the time and space to talk; let them get things off their chest. If they are a friend, relative, or an upset spouse, you listen and try to understand where they’re coming from. If they are an opponent like in the case of Musa’s, you let them showcase all they have, learn their argument, and see their tools & tricks – then you can top it.

Sometimes, a single statement that you make weighs so heavily on the Scale and is so powerful in the Unseen world that it qualifies you for Paradise. It’s not just actions, but words have huge weight and they are an act of worship too.

Never lose focus of your scrolls that you’re filling every day. A single response may tarnish golden pages written for you, so choose your battles carefully, and let your piety and fear of God hold you back from overstepping His divine boundaries.

Quranic Reflections – Juz 5
At times we make the mistake of ascribing piety and goodness to others or even ourselves, thinking that we are safe from the sins, societal ills, or tests and obstacles that have plagued others. But in a split moment, things can turn and our soft arrogance is wiped out by a God-sent reality.

Islam: The One and Only Religion
“If our purpose in life is to worship our Creator, by what means do we worship Him?” The answer to a simple question like this is known to almost every Muslim in the world, however you will still find some Muslims, especially in the West, who will object and say, “God can be worshipped through any means and through any religion, and that there is no difference between the religions because they all call to the worship of God, and therefore instead of warning against other religions we must come together and unite all the religions.” In the following lines I intend to clarify the falsehood of such statements made by these Muslims who are growing in large numbers in the Western World.

Do you miss the Masjid?
Can you recite the same surah in each prayer?
My problem is that I am illiterate and I do not know how to read or write. I offer the prayers on time, but I do not know anything except Soorat al-Hamd [al-Faatihah] and “Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad (Say, He is Allah, [who is] One)” [Soorat al-Ikhlaas], and I repeat these two soorahs in every prayer. Is that sufficient?

The Purpose Behind our Existence
We have to remember that Allah created life and death so that we may worship Him, and perform that worship in the best manner. That is what our objective should be. Instead of contradicting the purpose of man’s existence and acting for the sake of perishable worldly interests, we must fulfill its completion. Our period here is short and being slave to worldly gains results in the corruption of our souls, constant difficulty, worry and poverty.

She feels sad and depressed, and is asking for a solution
We ask Allah to benefit us and you by means of what we say, and to relieve us and our Muslim ummah of distress. Trouble is inevitable in the life of this world; this is how Allah has decreed it and He has made it a place of trials and tests, and a bridge to the Hereafter. Even the best of His creation, the prophets, were never free of troubles.

Loss. A dark and bitter time that many of us have passed through and miraculously pulled through. Loss of wealth and life can be incredibly painful, sometimes for a lifetime. But losses in ‘fruit’ can be equally devastating. You may be toiling away at something, putting in so much energy, time, and focus, only for it to be taken away or ruined in moments.
